The TRIM() function will display it properly, but will not actually remove the soft returns. This is how you really remove them:
In the FIND field, hold the ALT key and type 0010 (on the keypad), then release the ALT key.
REPLACE BY just leave it empty.
‘Replace All’ and voila!
